Football is Best

Football is in many books.  I chose two to read—Football for Dummies and Tebow Time.

Tebow Time was about a Christian football player named Tim Tebow.  He was trying to be an example for kids by not drinking or doing drugs.  Also, he tries to have a good attitude.  He talks a lot about his college football years and his Christian life.  He played for the Denver Broncos, and now he is going to play for the New York Jets.  He is the quarterback, the one who tells most of the plays.  He sometimes runs and sometimes throws the ball.  He prays at the field, and he talks a bunch about verses.  He tries to teach kids about Christ.

Football for Dummies has everything of football.  There are five, ten, and fifteen yard penalties.  The coaches yell at their players if there is a fifteen-yard penalty.  Penalties are bad when you’re the team that did it.  All games have had one or more penalties.  I learned all the motions for penalties and all the signs like for touchdown or incomplete pass or no good.  Football once was almost banished because of the injuries.  Football has over a million fans.

Both of my books have lots of information about football and how to play.  Tebow Time has God in it, and Football for Dummies does not.  Even though they were both about football, one was a biography about his life and the other was more about specifics of how to play football and the facts about it.

Reading two books about football at the same time was happy because I learned what I wanted to find out.  I was especially curious about penalties and what you can do and can’t do.  Reading about Tebow was so interesting too.  I liked seeing all the parts of his life.  It made me feel sad when people teased him for praying on the field.  These books will give me more information I need to be a great football player.
